Ekphrasis Reading With Clamantis In-Person / Online
Cosponsored with Clamantis, The MALS journal.
This event is open to all in the Upper Valley community and Dartmouth, and is a hybrid program. You can attend either in person or on Zoom (scroll down for Zoom registration).
Come listen to contributors read their work!
What Is Ekphrasis?
Ekphrasis is the Greek word for vivid description. Ekphrastic writing usually involves writing in response to a piece of visual art.
How Does This Event Work?
Choose an image from https://clamantisekphrasis.com/home and write a poem, essay, or short story in response to it that is under a thousand words. Submit your piece as a Word document to clamantisekphrasis@gmail.com by March 24.
Participants will read their pieces as the image of their choice is displayed on a large screen. We expect most of the readings to be in person but participants are also welcome to read over Zoom.
