Think You Know Your A-Bee-Cs? Join Our Adult Spelling Bee!

Calling all logophiles, word nerds, and spell masters! (Or those just looking to connect and have fun!) Put your lexicon to the test at the Howe Library Adult Spelling Bee. Whether you're a sesquipedalian savant or just want to try your hand at some buzz-worthy words, this event promises fun, friendly competition and a chance to flex your linguistic muscles. Why should kids get to have all the fun?

The format for our Spelling Bee is designed to be as accessible, fun, and stress-free as possible! Register in advance to compete in teams of 1-4 people. No need to stand awkwardly in front of the crowd and risk early elimination -- instead, words will be written on team whiteboards and victory will be determined by points scored for the number of correctly spelled words. The winning team will receive $25 gift cards to Still North Books and Bar. Detailed rules forthcoming!

Registration is required. The team captain should register the whole team so there’s just one registration per team. There will be a maximum of 8 teams, with 1-4 people per team. Register below or contact jared.jenisch@thehowe.org with questions.
