From Vision to Reality: The Appalachian Trail from Then to Now - Exhibit Reception In-Person

Join us at Rauner Special Collections Library for a reception of their exhibit From Vision to Reality: The Appalachian Trail from Then to Now, with a brief talk by Morgan Swan, Special Collections Librarian for Teaching and Scholarly Engagement. Light refreshments will be provided.

With the Appalachian Trail Conservancy celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, this retrospective looks back at the original idea that created the Appalachian Trail, and what keeps the Trail alive today. The exhibit was curated by Dakota Jackson, Senior Director of Visitor Experience at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and Morgan Swan, Special Collections Librarian for Teaching and Scholarly Engagement at Dartmouth Libraries. The exhibit will be on display in Rauner Special Collections Library’s Class of 1965 Galleries in Webster Hall from September 15th through December 12th, 2025.

This event is taking place at Rauner Special Collections Library, 6065 Webster Ave, Hanover, NH, and follows a talk by ATC staff at the Howe. Check out that event listing here!
