This tour will take you inside the Conservation Lab at Dartmouth Libraries, which is responsible for the care and maintenance of all physical collections within the library. During the tour you will learn about the important role of preservation within Dartmouth’s library system and how conservators care for the college’s books and works on paper.  Basic mending techniques will be demonstrated, and we’ll explore specific treatments performed on general and special collection materials. Curious minds and inquisitive participants are welcome!
